In two volumes, hardback, original maroon cloth gilt, tissue-guarded frontispiece, vii + 337 + 345 pages + plates + folding map, scratch marks to the front covers (probably where labels have been removed), slight dents to the fore-edges of the covers, a little foxing to the tissue guards, in Good condition.
A Post Office official’s memoir of his career during the Victorian era. With much insight in to the inner workings of the British Post Office in the nineteenth century.
