An excellent work, in English, on the postal markings of China. The markings of the various national postal systems of mainland China are covered. The “I Chan”, “Wen Pao Chu”, Customs and early Imperial postal services are treated in considerable detail and all the postal markings known at the time are included. The enormous growth of the postal service in later periods makes complete coverage impossible, but all main types are included. Very well illustrated. A scarce book.
