First edition, original green paper-covered boards, [ii] + 75 pages + 2 plates + double page hand-coloured street plan, one further plan within the text, spine worn with loss of one-inch pieces from top and foot of spine, small white stain to front cover, corners of covers worn with some loss, foxing to the frontispiece and scattered throughout, some spotting to the margins of some pages, some upper page-edges unopened (uncut), in Fair to Good condition.

An extremely rare early work on the history and topography of St. Martin’s-Le-Grand. Fragile but complete with the engraved frontispiece illustration of the new Post Office, and with the hand-coloured street plan and other illustration and plan as called for.
