Marsh, Victor [pseudonym of H. Edgar Weston]

Great Britain: Abnormal Embossed Postage Stamps of King Edward VII and King George V

Publisher: Harris Publications, London, 1923

First edition, No. 92 of a limited edition of 100 copies, paperback, 18 pages + 3 plates (one double-page), appears to be Victor Marsh’s own office copy with paper slip hinged inside front cover and Marsh’s printed signature to title-page, corners of covers a little creased, short tears to covers at top and foot of spine with tiny amount of loss, in Good condition.

Rare original 1923 limited edition. The booklet tells the story of how stamp-dealer H. Edgar Weston (who used the pseudonym “Victor Marsh”) was able to take advantage of Post Office rules to print sheets of embossed stamps, which he then cut into pairs or other multiples and used on covers.
