Excellent, much-needed, handbook covering the postal history of British Airmails. Beginning with the pre-First World War era (the first British Air Mail acceptance was during the Franco-Prussian War) and covering the development of Air Mail Services, Routes and Rates up to the end of 1945. The book covers “true Aerial Postal History” only, i.e. services which were available to the general public. A large volume, well illustrated with photographs, maps etc. As usual with Proud publications, valuations for covers are listed throughout.
